1930s - 1940s, some of the buttons late 19th Century and later.
Maroon cotton velvet fabric, with sewed - on buttons in pictorial designs, including basket, windmill, willow tree by fence, star, and two hearts. The buttons range from mother-of-pearl, to celluloid from American-eagle in gilt-brass, to ebonized.

Condition: Overall, the color of the cotton velvet is vivid there are a few losses to buttons.
An unusual pictorial wall-hanging, using a willow tree and house, basket, and windmill, all known more typically as subjects of girls embroidered samplers.
