Hanging scroll, ink and color on silk, signed, with two seals, remounted as a scroll painting. The elegantly robed figure seated at her painting table while being groomed by an attendant standing at her side, embellished with a kingfisher and pearl ornament in her hair and clad in a pastel silk floor-length gown, flanked at either side by elegant swags of aqua silk drapery the tall scholars book shelf behind with the volumes bearing an inscription Noble Lady Poets.

Provenance: Property from a San Francisco collection, purchased on September 18, 1998 from Le Vieux Manoir Gallery, 8, rue de Beaune, 75007 Paris, France.
