The compressed globular body with sloping shoulders rising to ataperedneck surmounted by a wide dish-shaped mouth, the neck decorated with raised filets to resemble bamboo,covered all over in a pale grayish-blue glaze suffused with a network of dark brown crackle and afiner golden crackle, the unglazed foot ring revealing the dark buff ware.
Height: 9 1/2 inches (24 cm).
Provenance:
From the collection of Captain Edward Pearce, Annapolis, Maryland, who served the U.S. Navy stationed in Japan, and England during the 1960s to early 1970s.
