The pear-shaped bodytapering up to a narrow neck and a square-lipped rim, set with a tallcurved spout connected to the neck by acloud-shaped strut, oppositeanarchedstraphandle, painted around the body in underglaze copper-red with pine, bamboo, and plum trees emerging from garden rocks, all between a band of trefoil pendant and leaf bands around the neck and petal lappets encircle the foot.
Height: 13 1/2 inches (34.3 cm).

From the collection of Captain Edward Pearce, Annapolis, Maryland, who served the U.S. Navy stationed in Japan, and England during the 1960s to early 1970s.
