Circa 1945 and later.
Comprising a pair of enameled steel bookends, formed as two marching elephants on trapezoidal bases a pair of glazed pottery bookends formed as looming falcons atop squat pyramidal bases and a pair of glazed pottery salt and pepper shakers, molded as seahorses atop rectangular scrolling bases.
The falcon bookeneds have an indistinct mark to one corner of underside otherwise, not marked.

Very good condition, the ceramic examples with minor crazing to glazes, both metal bookends with wear/loss of enamel to tops of heads. Please note, the elephant figures are both facing the same direction, rather than facing in opposing positions.
