Circa 1910.
Comprising a low bowl, with scalloped, saw tooth rim, over palmettes and whirled hobstars centering a 16 pointed panelled hobstar a low dish with scalloped, sawtooth edge alternating grid over diamond point hobstar centering a square of four hobstars and another with 12 hobstars under triangular bands, over ridged notches over diamond points, centering a 12 pointed hobstar.
Approximate measurements: 2 H. x 8 Diameter, over all.
Condition: Good overall condition. Three 1/4 chips to sawtooth edge, the bowl. Two shallow chips and several nicks to the second item. The 8 dish with 1/2 shallow chip to edge several teeth with chips, nicks. Various light scratches and chips.

First third of 20th Century.
The taller example with scalloped sawtooth rim over hobstars the standard with cut notches, over diamond point and hobstar foot. The other example with scalloped, rolled rim, over hobstars and diamond point, the standard with multiple light cuts, the foot cut with one large hobstar.
Approximate dimensions: Larger piece 11 1/2 high x 7 7/8 inches diameter, 9 1/4 high x 6 1/4 inches diameter..
Provenance: Gifted by Theodore Edward Thal (1899-1978), OSU graduate and American Brilliant Cut Glass collector. Mr. Thal was an inventor and innovator in the fiberglass business.
Condition: Several chips to sawtooth edge of larger compote. Some light surface scratches.
